Passports were handed over to new citizens of Turkmenistan

Yesterday, on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the State Migration Service held a ceremony of handing out passports to people who received citizenship of Turkmenistan.
This remarkable event, approaching the national holiday — the holy Independence Day of the dear Motherland, was a clear expression of the country's strong commitment to the norms of international humanitarian law.
According to the Decree signed by the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 23, 1 thousand 530 people who are permanent residents of the country and representatives of 26 nationalities became citizens of Turkmenistan. In addition, in accordance with the President's decision, it was decided to issue residence permits to 315 people, that is, citizens of 9 countries of the world and representatives of 23 Turkmen nations.
The Turkmen leader signed these documents and stressed that Turkmenistan is constantly implementing a policy that considers the humanitarian and social system and ensures the protection of people's well-being, happiness, life, rights, freedoms and interests. «Our country, which plays a positive role in the development of a balanced solution to the important problems of our time, makes a concrete contribution to the strengthening of effective international cooperation, including relations in the humanitarian system,» said the President of Turkmenistan.
During the speeches given during the ceremony of handing over the passports, words of gratitude were expressed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his great attention to solving the problems of stateless people and creating all the conditions for their happy life. This is reported by TDH.
